"This is so far the best middle eastern food I have had in a long time. The tobulle is absolutely fantastic and the meat grape leaves are to die for. Also had the pistachio baklava. Fantastic. Server was very friendly."

- Virginia S., Brownsville, TX

"What a great surprise this place was. I love Mediterranean food, and being from a big city up North I have been spoiled by some of the best. My boyfriend and I found this place on UrbanSpoon and decided to give it a try. At first we were a little bit hesitant due to the empty parking lot and even emptier restaurant, but we ignored our gut, and thank goodness we did! We both ordered the beef shawarma and it was delicious. Their hummus and baba was amazing. The only thing I didn't really care for was their pita, but that is something I'm willing to look over. Can't wait to eat there again."

- Taplan E., Indialantic, FL

"I love the bread pudding, atmosphere, the tea, there's not much I don't like. Actually the only thing I don't like is i don't get over there more often!"

- Paula M., Palm Bay, FL

"The Falafel was so good, I tasted my daughter's gyro it was also yummy. My lentil and lemon soup was the best! The chicken Shawarma was also tasty. The service was great.. I will go back for sure :)"

- Amy C., Vero Beach, FL

"From the outside it doesn't look like much but the good is outta this world. The shawarma and lentil soup is my personal favorite. The shawarma meat is marinated and tender and the lemon lentil soup has a really great flavor. The baklava is delicious I just wish the portion was a bit bigger. :-) Price wise it is very reasonable."

- Nicole N., Flagler Beach, FL

"Fresh, affordable and good portions! I eat lunch there regularly, and their hummus is just awesome."

- Lora N., Palm Bay, FL

"Loved it! The Gyro sandwich was very, very good and tzatziki but my favorite was the Arayes Halebi appetizer! Didn't care for the music choice, more younger crowd stuff, but I didn't come for the music and the food was excellent!"

"Ever have one of those days where for every one "step forward", someone calls, emails, or shows up in your office, and afterwards you feel like you've fallen two "steps backward"? That pretty well sums up my Monday morning so far. That being said, I decided to get out of the office and get some lunch - and some much needed time out sanity check. I looked on Yelp and decided to throw caution to the wind and try something entirely new - and found a Mediterranean Resturant nearby. I found the Resturant at the end of a strip of business offices, and upon entering noticed it rather busy (good sign), found a nearby empty table, and sat down. A young girl took my drink order and gave me a menu. Now, the only time I've had Mediterranean food is when I was in College - many years ago, and there was a small Greek Resturant where I would occasionally go and buy a gyro. So, finding gyro on the lunch menu, I naturally ordered one. With it came a choice of soup, salad, or fries. Since I was trying "new" today, I picked the Lemon Lintil soup. My server was barely gone 5 minutes and returned with the soup. It was piping hot and had a great texture and of course a lemony taste to it. It was very good. Before I had finished she returned with my gyro - grilled slices of beef and lamb with lettuce, tomato, onion, and cucumber dressing in a homemade pita bread wrap. This was the best gyro I'd had! I really enjoyed my meal, will certainly come back to try other new Mediterranean dishes (some of which I wouldn't even pretend to know how to pronounce - ha), and with a nice relaxing and enjoyable lunch behind me, am ready to tackle the rest of the afternoon at work. Cheers!"

"Discovered Joumana's today by lucky chance. The restaurant is spotlessly clean, the service was fast, the wait staff courteous and knowledgeable about the preparation of the food. I enjoyed the lemon lentil soup, and he chicken shwarma sandwich, (probably the best I've had since leaving NYC). And the baklava was melt in your mouth delicious. Not only would I highly recommend Joumana's, I intend to make it and weekly indulgence."

- Carol T., Palm Bay, FL

"The lamb in the gyro was awesome! Very polite waitress. Great little lunch spot!"

- Christopher S., Seattle, WA

"Outstanding food, friendly service, good pricing. What more could you ask for?"

- Brandon W., Melbourne, FL

"I've decided to make it my personal mission this week to tell everyone I know just how much I LOVE Joumana's. I was in Palm Bay for a belly dance gig, saw the sign for Mediterranean food, and couldn't help but to stop in for some eats. Despite the fact that I looked like a drag queen in my 12 lbs. of stage makeup, the server Karolyn warmly welcomed and seated me, and tipped me off to all her favorite entrees. EVERYTHING sounded good, but I opted for the falafel sandwich and a side of tabbouleh. The real star of my meal was the tabbouleh. Banish the thought of pretty much any other tabbouleh you've ever had, because Joumana's blows the rest out of the water. It's all made to order, and the parsley is snipped and mixed in literally moments before the salad is brought to your table. The flavors burst in your mouth. I never knew tabbouleh could be so delicious! The falafel was pleasantly spiced and served on a nice grilled pita, with crisp Middle Eastern veggies. It had little bits of fava beans and was fried up to perfection, making it perfectly crisp with just a tiny hint of crunch. Simply delicious. The owners, George and Joumana came over to talk to me. They are from Syria and they are just THE coolest people! Joumana does all the cooking herself and takes no shortcuts in preparing real authentic Middle Eastern food. It's a real down-home place that I'm sure will develop a loyal following among Arabs and Americans alike. My biggest regret about my meal today is that I didn't order a few more appetizers and sides to sample, but I will definitely be back again, and next time with a crowd! I can't wait to say I started eating there before they became famous :)"

"Excellent middle eastern food. After cooking and experimenting with Mediterranean and Lebanese food for some time now I can say their recipes are spot on. For lunch, try the chicken/beef shawarma sandwiches. Also make sure you get an appetizer of the falafel."

- David Milstid

"Absolutely fantastic food! The chicken shawarma sandwich is to die for! The soups are amazing - I've had their potato soup, chicken and dumplings and their signature lemon lentil. Delicious!"

- Jon Carey

"Food is good I'm hooked on stuffed grape leaves. This is where I go to get my fix. "

"We LOVE this place! For Mediterranean cuisine, this is the best in the area. Joumana cooks anything to order and her dishes use only spices that she grinds herself. Everything is fresh and very tasty. Many of her dishes are gluten-free for those with an intolerance."

- Cliff Cannon

"Great Food in a cozy local eatery. The owner/chef is nice and serves the best mediterranean food. All the classics are well represented, and there are always specials that are original and super tasty. Her hummus is the best I've ever had. Last night I had the special which was Stuffed Artichokes along with salad and hummus. The wife had Moussaka along with salad and the Lemon Lentil Soup. We both accompanied this with a nice pinot noir that was available. Excellent as usual. We didn't have desert last night but on other visits we have had their baklava and it's the real deal. Do yourself a favor and visit this local gem."

- Bob Shepherd

"The service was outstanding and the owner/cook came out and we chatted for a while. Gyro, lentil soup, baklava and turkish coffee.....YUM! The food was fresh. The lentil soup was made with green and orange lentils and served with a side of fresh lemon juice to add flavor. The tzatziki sauce was homemade and delicious. The Turkish coffee was just the right kick that I needed to get through the rest of the day. There were not many people in the retaurant as it was just after the lunch rush. I will most DEFINITELY visit for lunch on my next business trip. I hope that she does get the Saeco coffee machine for making coffee. That would be the icing on the cake. THANK YOU!!!"

- Pat Valerio
